The New Rules Of Fitness: Part 1

Top 4 Fitness Tips That Will Help You Look Ten Years Younger

Living in a healthy and fit body can be an amazing confidence builder. It can also, remove years from your appearance. To tell the truth, we all desire to keep that youthful look for as long as possible. Losing some unwanted pounds, will help you reshape your body. For most, the face will be the first area that will be notably different. Facial fine lines can be reduced and the new look will also bring on a new confidence in the way you carry yourself.

Take a mental look back 10 years ago and imagine what your weight was then. Let that weight be your milestone. Set your fitness goal for 2013, with that weight number in mind as incentive. Once you achieve that goal, parley your success and keep going. Below are four tips to make the journey easier.

Tip #1 - Go Shopping

Before you start your fitness quest, I suggest that you go shopping. Purchase that nice outfit in the size that you aspire to be. The thrill of shopping for clothes in a smaller size will help keep you motivated. Once you get your new outfit home, take a photo of it and post it on your refrigerator. This will be your daily reminder to stay on point.

Tip #2 - Get Rid of Bad Habits

Over the past 10 years, I am sure that you have developed some bad health habits that contributed to your weight gain. It's time to forge some good habits. A good place to start is in the kitchen. If what's in your refrigerator or cabinets, conflict with your fitness goals then, it's time for it to go. If it's open, toss it in the garbage. If it's unopened, bag for charity. As adults, we all know what is healthy and what's not. It's time to be honest with yourself and say "I don't need this stuff anymore". Bad foods only produce bad results.

Tip #3 - Exercise

As part of this whole process, exercise is a must. You don't even have to join a health club. As long as you've got gravity and a plan, you can get a good workout. Although you can lose weight without exercise, you must have muscle to facilitate the expenditure of calories. This means that if you decide to not take my advice, your results will come much slower than you want.

Tip #4 - You Must Hydrate

It's recommended that you drink at least eight 8 ounces glasses of pure water a day. This is not a difficult habit to start. Furthermore, if you start your day with a glass as soon as you wake up, it will be even easier. Weird but true. Remember, your body is mostly comprised of water. It's vital to your bodies' functionality, so drink up.

The above fitness tips are just a small sample of what my members receive from my new membership website called, Just 4 Men Fitness.

Fitness Assessments - The Keys That Drive The Engine

Anyone who decides to embark on a fitness regime of any type (be it weight loss, general health or athletic performance) will start with at least a rough idea of a goal they wish to achieve. While access to a personal trainer can ensure that your goals are both realistic and responsible, we must all create some form of standard for which to judge our performance over time. Initial and regular fitness assessments (comprising of body composition, cardio, resistance and flexibility assessments as well as nutrition and well-being analysis) provide us with:

An accurate assessment of where we are starting from (most individuals tend to be a little kinder to their relative fitness levels if not objectively assessed)A guide by which to identify success and achievement (one of the greatest motivating factors) andThe ability to structure your training program for your specific goals, requirements, experience and development.

The Starting Block - Pre-Training Assessments

Before you embark on your fitness program there are two main assessments you will want to make:

A medical assessment performed by your physician or health care professional. These are particularly vital in 'untrained' persons as physical activity and changes to your diet can bring on injuries and negative symptoms in some people, although every person should take the opportunity to discuss their fitness regime with their health professional.

Your starting point, or pre training fitness assessment. In one of your first sessions with a personal trainer, or prior to commencing your program, you should attempt to assess some vital physical components in order to track your progress and set tailored training and nutritional programs. These assessments will include:

Current Status Screening (health and fitness questionnaire covering your current activities and conditions)Body Composition (you may also want to consider 'before' photos in this assessmentCardiovascular FitnessMuscular Strength and EnduranceFlexibilityNutritional habits (not all programs will require this)

Body Composition

Body composition is probably the most useful for the average person who embarks on a fitness regime for the purposes of losing weight or toning up. Almost all personal trainers will assess your body composition before commencing a program with you for three main reasons. Not surprisingly, these reflect the main outcomes of the full assessment - an ability to discover a starting position, the guide by which to test results and the ability to structure the training program for specific areas. In its truest sense body composition analysis is an important part of your fitness assessment because it shows how much fat you carry on your body in relation to your muscle mass, however basic variances can be used here for at home or distance programs such as body part circumferences (typically waist, hip, neck, chest, upper and fore arm, thigh and calf), height to waist ratios, hip to weight ratios, clothing size and trusty before and after photographs. Some of these are also able to be used to approximate body fat percentages through specific equations.

Make sure that you use the same method for measurement to judge your results over time. Some of these methods may give different results depending on technique, however if you keep the same method throughout you will be better able to judge your improvement. While there are more accurate measures available to professionals you will be able to get a good sense of your results if you apply integrity to your testing.

Cardiovascular Endurance, Flexibility and Muscular Strength and Endurance

There are a number of different ways to measure and assess you cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscular strength and muscular endurance. While detailing them all could easily fill an article of its own, these assessments provide a great understanding of the strengths and weaknesses in a person's fitness and also provide a functional tests for performance and progress. Many of these assessments can be performed away from the gym and there are a number of generic activities that require neither equipment nor expertise to accomplish them.

Nutrition

While not all fitness programs will incorporate a strict diet, attention to this aspect of your health can and will boost your chances of success exponentially. There are a number of different steps you can take in this process but first you MUST identify your eating habits - both good and bad. A food diary for 7 days will help you identify the areas you need to improve and those you need to maintain focus on. Something simple like removing soda from your diet can help you lose at least a pound a week - even without training. A FREE food diary is available from Fitness Fahey's, but all you really need is a pen and a piece of paper and start recording EVERYTHING you put in your mouth - no cheats.

Once you have completed a food diary for a week, most people will be able to see the damage some areas of their diet is doing to them, while using a nutrition specialist or speaking to a health professional or qualified personal trainer can give you specific directions for the greatest improvements.

Conclusion

While performance and body tone/shape is largely the result of the physical work that you do, nutrition accounts for at least 70% of your weight gains and losses and a carefully managed eating plan, combined with a structured training program is your best chance to succeed in your weight loss, health and fitness journey.

Initial and continual analysis is the key that drives the engine on your way to your health, fitness and weight loss goals. It is an often underappreciated discipline in the journey to success but is a vital one. Understanding your TRUE starting point is the only real way to determine achievement, and continual assessment allows your trainer to develop programs that will see you reach your goals in the shortest possible time. The motivation provided by seeing tangible results before your eyes is astonishing, and whether you simply take a photograph of yourself at various stages, take the tape measure to your areas of concern, time yourself running a few laps of the local park or seek professional assistance in determining your true current state, progression and success, you must be using fitness assessment and analysis tools in your training program if you truly want to be successful.

Fitness Fahey's FREE fitness analysis tools offer a number of suggestions and activities for you to be able to assess your current standards and progress through your regime (remember, seek medical clearance before undertaking any new activities) and also provides the charting for easy to identify strengths, weaknesses and improvements. How To Avoid Common Fitness Mistakes and Lose Weight Successfully

Finally - you started going to the fitness club, bought nice sports outfit, found lots of information about fat burning exercises, adjusted your timetable and decided to burn fat to have attractive fit body in summer. You have understood that the best way to burn fat and lose weight is to combine healthy eating and regular training, well done! But let's check if you make the most popular training mistakes!

I have prepared this article in order to make your life easier and save you from common fitness mistakes that people make when trying to burn fat fast.

Mistake 1 - Unreal Goals

This is one of the saddest mistakes you can make because unreal goals setting leads to disappointment and giving up. It is illogical to think that after a year of overeating and lying on the sofa you can become ripped in one month of training. This is a common mistake among the beginners who want to burn fat fast and build an athletic body within a short period of time. In order to avoid it, set clear, attainable goals, that consist of smaller "checkpoint goals". The extreme weight loss plans will never work in a long-term perspective.

Mistake 2 - Trying to Burn Belly Fat by Crunching and Doing Just Isolated Abdominal Exercises

Again, this is one of the most common mistakes among the beginners. So many people in the gym diligently perform various abdominal exercises. And others start repeating and doing them as well, hoping to make the waist thinner and the belly flatter. The problem is, many people still are sure that in order to get rid of love wings and a big belly you have to do the crunches. Please, remember that the best exercise to burn fat in that area is not done in the gym - it should be done in the kitchen. The exercise implies throwing away all the junk food, cookies, muffins, soda cans and other artificial food-like substances, and filling the shelves with natural food.

Keep in mind, you can't burn stomach fat by training abdominal muscles. The best way to do it is to perform complex exercises, high intensity cardio, drink more water and control what you eat.

Mistake 3 - Skipping Workouts or Training Too Seldom

"From-time-to-time" training won't make your body look better, and workout skipping can become a habit. If your aim is to burn fat, build muscle, look attractive and healthy - regularity is the key to success. Regular physical activity increases metabolism, regulates hormonal system work and helps you create good habits, because the habits are formed by repeating certain actions regularly. If you don't have much time for training during a day - it is fine! Devote 30 minutes to a workout instead of one hour, but do it more frequently, train more intensively!

Mistake 4 - Hitting the Treadmill for Hours in Order to Burn Fat

Is steady-state cardio good for fat burning? Yes, it is much better than nothing, because during a long cardio session (that lasts more than 40 minutes) you body starts using your fat and some muscle protein for energy. However, this is not the most effective way to trigger fat burning processes. Weight training and short and intense workouts are the best ways to burn fat in long-term perspective and preserve the muscle tissue which is essential for a proper metabolism work. You do burn some fat during a long-term low intensity cardio workout, but if you can achieve much more by interval training or intense weight workout, why to spend so much time on a treadmill?

I do support long-term cardio when it comes to cardiovascular health, overall endurance improvement and if a person simply enjoys it - why not! But when we speak about faster fat loss and metabolism boosting - long-term cardio is not the best option.

Mistake 5 - Forgetting About the Pre-Workout and Post-Workout Meals

I have to say it again - without a proper eating plan you will not achieve the desired results. That is why it is extremely important to think of what and when you eat, especially when it comes to training aimed at fat loss.

Forget about the pills that burn fat, I hope I don't need to explain why. Choose the foods that burn fat instead. What you have to think about is that your diet is balanced, you get enough protein, vitamins and minerals and water every day, both on the training days and the days of rest.

As far as we have preciously figured out that weight training and intense workouts are the best ways to burn fat, we have to think how to improve the results by eating smartly. Make sure you eat your main meal at least 3-4 hours before training (it should consist of protein and complex carbohydrates), it is not a good idea to train with your stomach full. Have a pre-workout snack one hour before your training, which could be fruit or yogurt. Don't forget to drink during your training, always have a bottle of water with you.

After the workout you have to restore glycogen in your muscles to make your body burn more fat after the intense training and to avoid your own muscle tissue breakdown. Have your post-workout meal within one hour after you finish - the faster - the better. It should be a small snack consisting of protein and fast carbs, such as fruit and low-fat greek yogurt or a milkshake with berries. Alternatively you can have a post-workout protein shake. Post- and pre-workout protein powders and amino-acids are among the few sports supplements I use to burn fat more efficiently.

In two hours after the training you can have a good meal consisting of high quality protein and complex carbohydrates. Avoid fatty foods before and after your training, but make sure that you eat healthy vegetable fats in moderate amounts every day.

Mistake 6 - Poor Technique

One of the most frequent causes of sports injuries is the wrong posture during the exercises performance. The first thing you need to master at the gym is the correct technique, especially when it comes to such exercises as barbell squats, deadlift, and bench press and, of course, other exercises both at the gym and outdoors. Make sure you learn how to perform them correctly, don't be shy and ask a gym trainer to show you the correct posture and help you choose the best weight, it's his (or her) work!

Don't strive for immediate results. Make small steps every day in order to reach your goal without major falls. Regularity but not the speed is the key to achieving a fit and attractive body.

Stay positive!

What Is Your Diet and Fitness Style?

Pretty much all of us know, or can quickly find out, what the 'best' way is to lose weight and get in shape. We'll know it is going to be about eating less and moving more, keeping a positive attitude, fostering endurance, making lifestyle changes, and setting goals.

We walk past the newsstands and read the headlines of the glossy magazines with hard-to-believe title covers such as 'lose 10 pounds in one week with this little known method... ' The reason that many diets fail is that we see the diet as something being administered from without, a foreign element in one's life, an unwelcome guest. It can seem as uncomfortable as wearing a knight's full armor all day long - something you'd endure if you had to (but want to get rid of as soon as possible).

This mindset comes from the point of view that where we are now is a 'wrong' place, where we want to go will make everything all better, AND the road to get there is strange and unwanted. But what if you could design a unique diet and fitness program that matched your personality, one that reflected your deepest values, your true character? Studies have shown that linking your diet to your innermost values and truer sense of self will be much more powerful when that extra cupcake comes around.

How You Can Use Your Character As The Starting Place

The examples below will help you to identify patterns of your own, finding a diet that starts from within, not from without. What are some ideas that you can gather about yourself and use as a foundation for wellness?

The Social Butterfly: You love being with people at work and at home. You are open, communicative, and love large groups and gatherings. Your diet and fitness routine will work best if you join forces with others, for example online forums, a community center, dieting with several friends, or a Weight Watchers group. Sports would be group activity such as mall walking, buddy-workouts, community work on weekends. As long as a friend is waiting for you, you'll be out the door with no trouble at all.

The Competitor: Nothing much motivates you without a chance of winning something. You wake up at the thought of conquering your opponent, beating your former record, and documenting your successes. In sports, you might find that tennis or training to run a marathon might suit you well. If you are not able to do strenuous sports, you might find that coaching a local little league team gets you outdoors and motivated. Indoor community sports such as basketball or racquetball would make you forget all about burning calories! A competitive diet should be avoided in favor of healthy choices, but involving others in your quest for the best might work out well.

The Outdoorsman: You just can't wait to get outside. Nothing is more stimulating than a fresh breeze, nature setting, and connection to the bigger whole. You may find that fishing and bringing home your dinner supports that connection. Hiking, swimming in the sea, flying a kite, stand up paddling, bird watching, or even a lunch break in a local park setting - these activities and many more are available to many of us. You might find that grilling for friends, visiting a local farm market, designing a smokehouse of your own, or eating unprocessed foods will honor your inner adventurer.

The Dreamer: To take a break, you like to get away from it all. Travel is not necessary as long as you can fully relax and be yourself, look inwards, reflect and relax. Your sports personality might be attracted to silent walking meditations, yoga, tai chi classes. You might enjoy a bit of ritual and ceremony around eating by using a carefully set table, candlelight, and creative cooking. You may enjoy books that explain the spiritual nature of foods, the healing property of foods, the right ways to combine them for easy digestion and a peaceful feeling, or even attractive food presentation for mindful eating.

The Giver: You find it hard to diet just for you and would prefer less attention and hub-bub. But cooking for the community bake, walking for a breast cancer fundraiser, buying from suppliers that respect the environment, donating time and energy to causes - these activities get you out of your Sunday sofa without any effort at all. Dieting to be healthy in later years and not a burden to others might be your biggest motivator - so your healthy lifestyle is fueled by a do-good attitude.

The Activist: You need to motivate others to motivate yourself. You might not find it fun to take a walk alone, but would love to organize others, motivate others to join you. You might find yourself spreading the word about an event dedicated to genetic manipulation of foods, or starting a bio cooking class, or becoming a boot camp instructor, or rallying others at the office to take a no-junk-foods-on-Monday pledge (or similar). Healthy habits will come from an effort to make a difference in the healthy habits of those around you.

The Lover: Your love of life and of your partner is the biggest motivation of all. The thought of wearing that special dress on Saturday night helps get those extra situps in your routine. Shopping and planning for a romantic candlelight dinner for 2 or jogging with your loved one for 20 minutes every morning solidifies the dedication to your health and your relationship together. Taking a spa weekend together, finding sports activities that you both enjoy, celebrating your life as one - these powerful motivators can boost health and self-esteem at the same time.

The Variety Guy: Anything and everything is fine until it becomes monotonous and boring. A daily walk to work or other base level physical fitness activity can be supported only if there is a new stimulation on the horizon. You'd love to try a new style of yoga, take a samba dance class, learn to juggle, go out canoeing, join a pickup soccer game, try a stretch routine at home. As long as there is something 'new' about it, your personality fits right in. A cooking course for Japanese cooking or flavorful low-cal options, experimenting with different table décor, adding creative healthy snacks to your repertoire...

Most all of us will do better if we honor who we are, first and foremost. Secondly, there is no end to the amount of creativity we can use to look and feel our very best. Thirdly, it is empowering to break out of the idea that we have to fit into someone else's shoes! Have you learned to create harmony in your healthy habits lifestyle?

Your Fitness Goal for 2013

The two biggest New Year's resolutions for people are always to make more money and/or to lose weight. Is losing weight a part of your fitness goal for the New Year? Have you mapped out a plan yet on how you're going to reach your fitness goal? What would motivate you this time to stick through thick and thin to accomplish this goal?

The other day, I was listening to the great Bob Proctor in a YouTube seminar, one thing he said (being the great teacher that he is) stroke me like lightning. He said that - I'm paraphrasing here- if you are trying to lose weight you will not succeed or you will always gain it back because the way the mind is set is if you lose something, its job is to condition itself to get it back. In order word, after you "lose" weight or anything else for that matter, the mind subconsciously will go to work to sabotage your weight lost result.

To step into your fitness goal in 2013, you have to root for the cause and effect of your overhaul physical health according to the results you've getting thus far. Meaning to say that the reason why you gained weight is not the food in itself but your perception and belief behind the way you consume food and your understanding about exercises.

Most people when they want to "lose weigh" go on crash diets or try all kind of programs (which by the way are ingenious because of the science and hard work behind creating them) that never work for them. The reason why they fail over and over until they give up altogether is because, again, they try to treat the effect not the root cause.

You gain weigh primarily because of your belief about food. If you see food as something comforting that you entertain compare to a TV pastime or something to compensate yourself as a replacement to certain lack, you will gain weight. If you see exercise as a burden that you resist and disgust, or if you see gaining weight as an inevitable part of aging, you will always be out of shape and away from your fitness goal.

Your perception and your belief about any area of your life will always manifest accordingly and will always produce the same exact results until you go through some changes. Therefore, your belief about diet and exercises will show up in your life in the form of you being overweight, obese or you as a fitness specimen.

The first thing to do is to find out where your beliefs about food and exercise stand. Do you believe that the primary role of food in your diet is to refuel your energy level to enable you to go about your habitual physical and mental productivity and should be consumed in moderation? Or do you see food as something you can indulge in at anytime you want and thinking that it won't have any relevance to your overhaul health?

Do you look at your daily physical activities as a chore or do you pick a form of exercise that you like which automatically put you in the likelihood of keeping it up because you enjoy doing it? Do you believe that being overweight or obese can cause you your life leaving your loved ones with unnecessary suffering?

The key to the attainment of your fitness goal this year is to first ask yourself what are your beliefs about fitness and exercise. Do you believe that being obese can cost you your life? (Hint: it can and it does every day)-It all comes down to your belief system-. Then go to work on upgrading those beliefs through massive exposures with people and program with the type of mental conditioning that will help you make the switch. Apply the old adage: "eat to live, not live to eat". Happy New Year 2013!

What you believe creates your result.

Here Are Some Guidelines Associated to Diet and Fitness in Achieving the Type Body You Want

One of the hardest things for any individual to do is figuring out a way to obtain that perfect, healthy body. We look in the mirror, in most cases, it is usually the side of the body that we look at and that feeling of disgust overwhelms us as we see that pot belly stick out. Then we get all hyped up because this will be the day that we want to do something about getting rid of that beer belly and get healthy but there is that other side of human nature where we tend to procrastinate and put off the things that matter the most, our health.

Exercising is not an easy thing to do as it requires commitment and dedication on our part. Setting goals that are realistic will help you become successful in such a venture. For example, setting your sights on losing 80 lbs. is something that can be obtained through hard work, commitment, and a right attitude. I am going to provide some guidelines that will help you keep motivated in achieving your weight loss goals:

1. Create a healthy eating plan that will help you keep your diet goals. Sometime ago, I ran into an old friend at Gold's Gym in Pocatello, Idaho, and I ask him how he was doing. Before he joined the Idaho National Guard, he had to lose weight to meet their fitness requirements. So he modified his diet to include more fruits and vegetables every day. He dropped 88 lbs. within one month. Eating the right foods that are packed with good nutrients, taking vitamin and herbal supplements will fuel your body and increase your metabolism.

2. Help your body to get the proper amount of rest that it needs. Putting your body through torment without proper rest will increase your chances of getting injured during a workout. Getting the maximum of 8 hours of sleep will help your body to recover and re-energize for the next day activities. For a good night sleep, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables during the day.

3. Stay focused on what you are doing. When going through a workout video, sometimes thoughts of regrets and frustration tend to wander in and distract you from achieving your goals. For the moment, forget about the rat race and the stress that comes with it, and stick to your guns.

4. Do your exercise. Your body should stay in movement and action. Burn your excess fat and calories. Mental stimulation and exercise can be incorporated to keep you mind sharp and sound. Challenge your mind to grow, expand, learn, explore, decipher, and experience. You can do meditations as well. It can reduce your stress and heart rate, keep you at present, and maximize your feelings of joy, serenity, spiritual faith, and peace to stay fit.

4. Be physically active. You should always be moving around, because when you do this, you are constantly burning calories. Pick a fitness program that will help you burn the fat and give you more energy and plus, there are other health benefits that come with exercising. You will feel like a new person after each workout is accomplished.

5. Have family and friends around you to give support and to cheer you on as you near the finish line. Once you have set your goals, let your family and friends know what you are doing so that they can help you fulfill your goals. It would be an awkward moment if you are dieting and the family is planning a big dinner and they are not aware of your fitness goals. It would be a losing situation for you.

6. Here is one strange trick that will keep your body healthy and that is laugh. This will help keep the stress away from your body and it will keep you to recover faster from any kind of ailment.

Follow these tips properly to ensure a happier and longer life. It is not too late to set your goal to meet your fitness needs.

Following these guidelines will not only help you to live a long and happy life, but you will be able to meet your fitness goals, whether it is losing weight or strength training.

Outside All The Sometimes Messy and Confusing Personal Fitness Noise, It Is About Three Body Goals

When I started over a year ago dedicating myself to creating a platform blog for people to come and look at product reviews for home fitness products, I was literally all over the map in my approach.

By this I mean that I was totally clueless on how to exactly create an organized structure for my audience. I was reviewing a lot of products, some related closely to other products, and some totally not. This was the basic old tale of the blind man and the elephant come to life. More or less I was looking for a way to connect with my readers and find out exactly people were interested in, thus making it easier to sell to them.

--The Thing I Missed was An Understanding of What These Products as A Whole Were Designed to Do

The problem was that I was not seeing patterns and the larger picture. I was not seeing patterns because I was probably not seeing the similarities in every home workout program or home workout equipment on the market. I was instead behaving like a lot of people who are serial dabblers in the next "shiny new object"hoping to create the magic to get themselves fitter. I can attest that this unfocused mindset is just as counter-productive for the marketer as it is for the person trying to get fit.

So I sat down and thought it through. I studied my notes on the many clients and workout colleagues I have known through the years. I started seeing meaningful patterns at this point maybe because I was now looking for them. It became apparent that people who had health and fitness goals were wanting 1 of 3 body appearance outcomes at any one time. That's it.

--The Three Desired Body Appearance Outcomes Everyone Wants

People either want to lose weight generally, or want to get ripped fit ("toned" might be the word if you are a woman), or add muscular size (a goal seen most often with men) That's it. I thought about in my own case and if I looked honestly at my fitness goals at any one time, I was either looking to lose weight, or get more toned.

Here's the kicker: I realized that where I'd failed in the past was wanting to do too much, too fast, and mixing my desired outcomes. For example, I would want to lose weight and look super toned by x date. Then I'd get uptight when maybe it wasn't happening according to the schedule I either envisioned, or was expecting from the pitch which came with whatever product.

--Why Knowing The Three Desired Body Outcomes is Important for Sellers and Buyers

Simply put from a seller's perspective, when you try to market to everyone, you often end up marketing to no one. I found as a seller I wasn't effectively speaking to my audience because I didn't have an audience which was clearly defined. What I actually had was a dream of hitting it big which wasn't backed up by the facts or solid preparation.

So when I took each product and went back and figured out which of the three markets (desired body outcomes) each product fit into, I started to make progress. Check out what Marketing Expert Dan Kennedy has to say about the importance of knowing your market.

Oops. Better late than never I guess.

From the consumer of fitness products perspective, the lessons were a little less clear. We'll focus more on the fitness consumer's vital lessons and beneficial strategic mindsets in greater detail in future articles. Suffice to say right now that you first need to figure out what your desired body outcome is and pick only one of those outcomes for the next 180 days minimum. Don't allow yourself to think it can be fully achieved any quicker. The reality is that it usually can't.

Use Functional Fitness Equipment for Best Results

A professional bodybuilder may look tough and strong, but then one can't help wondering whether they are as fit as they appear! We all want to have an enviable body and this involves the use of a lot of things. First of all, you need to go for a healthy diet. The next thing on your agenda is the fitness training that you will receive. For this you need functional fitness equipment. Other than allowing you to stay fit, the functional fitness devices allow people to stay healthy. Functional exercises are ones that involve multiple muscles and joints. For instance, you need not just move your elbows.

A functional exercise involves the use of your spine, hips, shoulders, elbows, ankles and knees. If it is properly applied, functional training can reduce the risks of contracting an injury and improve the quality of your life. Functional exercises incorporate the use of multiple muscles and joints at the same time for training your entire body. These may involve squatting to bicep curls, doing step up exercises with weights and multidirectional lunges. You need to find a company that provides fitness equipment sourcing to get these devices at the best possible rates.

With multi-directional lunges, you need to prepare the body to perform some common activities like doing work at the yard or vacuuming. If you are to do a lunge, you must keep a leg at one place and use the other for stepping out. Move sideways, backwards or to the front. Continue the movement until the knee attains a right angle and the rear knee is parallel with the floor. Squatting with bicep curls uses different kinds of weights and mimics the action of carrying a basket, a young child or a laptop bag from the floor. Start by placing your feet apart from the shoulders.

Hold dumbbells at the side and slowly bend the hips, ankles and knees until the knees make a right angle. You may gradually get back to the starting posture and turn the palms of your hands towards the ceiling. Stretch the arms and move the dumbbells inwards to your shoulders. If you are over 40, you should not carry out functional exercises without consulting your doctor. The payoff for these regimes is high. By adding more and more exercises to your schedule, you will notice improvements in the capacity of performing your daily activities and quality of life.

With functional fitness equipment, you can feel healthy and fit. Get a fitness equipment sourcing provider for purchasing the right equipment, at the best rates.

Is it your family? a job? a new love interest you're trying to impress? or do you just want to fit into your favorite jeans again (the one that surprisingly seemed to have shrunk)? Every individual has their own reason to keep going in every aspect of their life. Acquiring motivation is important when you are setting up a short-term or even long-term goal. Your ambitions need to be stimulated in order for you to push harder to get what you want.

Goals should be measurable and realistic. You can't expect to lose 20 pounds in 1 week; it is a process that takes time and patience. Accomplishing a personal goal to lose weight is driven by reasons that encourage you to keep pushing and not give up, especially if you don't see results instantly. Gaining self confidence, seeing positive results, and being healthy are common motivational factors to consider in order to get rid of old habits and start living a healthier lifestyle.

Self-confidence

Whether you admit it or not, you know you want to look good. Attaining a good physical appearance will give you more self-confidence to be socially assertive and not worry about what others will say. You learn to be content with your body but at the same time still strive to be better. Engaging in physical activities stimulates the brain and helps maintain its functions. This means if you treat your body right, your brain will return the favor by boosting your confidence and keeping you happy.

Positive Results

In order for you to stick to a workout program, you must be determined to work hard. If you give up how are you going to see the positive effects from all your blood sweat, and tears? You won't know what joy is until you see yourself achieving your goals, especially when you know you have worked hard to achieve it. The idea of finally being able to fit comfortably in your old jeans, or walk a couple flights of stairs without feeling like you are going to have a heart attack, is a reward in itself.

Health

Your well-being should be on top of your priority list. If you have an unhealthy lifestyle then you are more likely headed right in the direction of being prone to illnesses, injuries, even death. Your health in itself should be the main reason why you chose to turn your life around in the first place. Like the saying goes, health is wealth. Aside from your physical health, your mental and emotional health will also be benefited. Many men and women have experienced a more stress-free and optimistic entity as a result of their healthier habits.

Altogether, these motivational factors will play significant roles in urging you to continue with what you have already started. No great accomplishment can be completed if you surrender without seeing any results beforehand. Take a risk; no one ever said that the road to fitness success was going to be easy, right? Focus on your desire to be more physically attractive, to receive positive results, and to be healthy from the inside out. These motivations are your keys to fitness success which will benefit you in the years to come.
