Most people have goals they would like to achieve especially when it comes to health and fitness goals. I see people at the gym all the time working out but they don't seem like they are all there and giving it 100%. Their body might be there working out but there mind is elsewhere. I see people doing cardio while reading a book or a magazine. I don't see how they can be pushing themselves and giving it their all while being able to concentrate on reading. It's great that they took the time to go to the gym but that's only part of the battle. At first, you might see some results just because your body isn't used to doing any kind of physical activity but after a while, if you don't push yourself, you won't see the results you want.
People tend to only do things that they are comfortable with. When working out, if it starts getting hard, then some will stop. To get maximum results, you need to give it your all and continually push yourself in the gym. Your body is capable of doing amazing things! You need to have the proper mindset while working out and not be thinking about everything else going on in your life. You need be focused, concentrate on what you are doing and make sure you are using proper form.
Our mind will sometimes tell us that we can't, it's too hard, it's uncomfortable, just stop but we need to ignore our mind under these circumstances and learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Think about your goals and how bad you want to achieve them. Nothing worth having comes easy. You have to work for your results! If you are lifting weights, don't push yourself to where you start using improper form cause it will only cause you to get injured. While I'm working out, I think about what I am doing and make sure I am doing the exercise properly. It helps me get the most out of each rep and ultimately, more out of my workout. The mind is an important part when it comes to exercising and achieving your health and fitness goals.
The body will learn to adapt and so it needs to be challenged and needs change. While at the gym doing a certain exercise, try to push yourself past your comfortable level and do just a little more. You will be amazed at the results you see! I believe that if you work hard, are dedicated and have patience you can achieve any of your goals!
