To maintain your weight over the holidays there are of course the common sense things you can do, which I expect you've already heard. Such things like: going for a daily walk, eating only when you are hungry, stopping when you are full, going to the gym 5 days a week for your workout.
But what do you do when you're stuck in a rut because you already know all of that but you aren't doing it?
Especially the part about eating only when you are physically hungry? (Many of my permanent weight-loss coaching clients could not even tell what physical hunger felt like prior to working with me, because when you are overweight you eat for all reasons besides physical hunger!)
Well that's a good question! And it's quite telling, isn't it? Here's what I mean: have you ever wondered why it is that 95% of dieters fail? How can that be when there is such a proliferation of healthy diet and exercise advice available, every time you turn around?
The problem is you cannot DO what you already know how to do. And since this is the case, then how can you maintain your weight during the holidays?
The way to maintain your weight during the holidays and throughout the year is by getting a weight loss mindset. Only with the proper mindset will you be able to achieve lasting success with your weight.
Your mindset is 90% of your weight problems, or it could be 90% of the solution! Once your mindset has been transformed into a solid, empowered, weight loss mindset. A mindset that makes it easy to do the 10% of the solution: diet and exercise.
How do you know you do not have a weight loss mindset today? Because you found this article! If you already had the required mindset you'd have no need to search online for how to maintain your weight during the holiday season. It wouldn't be an issue.
What would that feel like? To never again have to spend hours each week (or each day!) combing the Internet for diet and exercise tips?
