It is often harder to miss the top ten pounds of fat. We are still set in our unhealthy, old ways of doing things and change is difficult. But if you can lose 10 pounds then you can lose 100 or any desired amount. But it starts with the first 10 pounds. Lose 10 pounds is significant and a great motivator to lose more weight.
If you want to lose weight you must burn more calories than you take. That is common sense, but you must understand that you can lose weight. Nobody likes counting calories and worrying about what they eat, takes the pleasure out of it. But with practice, make healthy food choices becomes like second nature and you program yourself automatically make healthy choices.
1 Pound is equal to 3500 calories. Cut 3500 calories from your diet and lose 1 pound. Not that 10 times and lose 10 pounds. Reduce caloric intake and increase your cardiovascular exercise and increases the rate at which you will lose those 10 pounds.
Diet and exercise together allow you to not only lose weight faster, but also to give you a better chance of success. With exercise, you don't need to be more concerned with diet and diet that you don't have to be so worried. But what unites them and sticking to your plan, certainly you lose 10 pounds of fat. After you lose 10 pounds of fat, you set your goal to lose 20 pounds and continue until you have reached your goal weight. By the time you've reached your ultimate goal have developed new habits of healthy diet and exercise. Continuing what you've practiced and used to lose those 10 pounds of fat, should be able to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle.
You want to stay away from all foods that contain high amounts of sodium, saturated fats, and/or large amounts of sugar. Read labels and do some research to see just what you put in your body.

Drink plenty of water. Water not only hydrates but also helps the digestion of food, especially protein. It also lets you burn calories faster when they are well hydrated.
